Golden Visa and residency
Residency in the UAE, explained plainly.
Long-term residency for investors, entrepreneurs and their families, and the other routes worth knowing about. We tell you which you qualify for before anything is signed.
The short version
Invest, and the right to stay comes with it.
Residency by investment starts from USD 205,000.
The UAE grants long-term residency to people who invest here, run a business here or bring skills the country wants. The best known route is the Golden Visa. There are others, and the right one depends on what you are already planning to do.
We do not start with a programme. We start with you: where you want to live, who is coming with you, and what you are prepared to commit. Then we tell you plainly what you qualify for, what it will cost, and how long it takes, and we handle the application from start to finish.
Why Dubai
What you keep, and what you gain.
No personal income tax
Residents pay no tax on salary, dividends or rental income in the UAE.
No capital gains tax on property
What you make when you sell a property is yours to keep.
A city built for international residents
English is the working language, the dirham is pegged to the dollar, and most of the world is within an eight-hour flight.
The routes
Four ways in, and who each one suits.
Programme conditions change, so we keep this page general and give you the current detail in conversation.
The Golden Visa
A ten-year, renewable residence visa for investors, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals and their families. It is not tied to an employer, and it lets you live, work and study in the UAE, with your spouse and children included. Buying property in Dubai is one of the main ways in.
Property investor residency
A shorter residence visa linked to a property purchase, for those who want a base in Dubai without the Golden Visa yet. Renewable while you hold the property.
Company and employment visas
Residency that comes with a role in a company, or a business you already run. Often the simplest route for someone who is moving anyway.
A second passport
For clients who want citizenship rather than residency, we advise on the programmes available elsewhere and say plainly which ones fit.
